Football and Business: Mission Accomplished, NFL is Back!Whew!  NFL Lockout is over!  Are we more than ready for some football?  You betcha.  As everyone predicted, players are being let go, brought in and traded.  As in football and businesses, and our lives, it’s ALL about existing relationships and trust.  The teams who stayed most intact will have a HUGE advantage over teams with new players, especially quarterbacks and head coaches.  There’s something to be said for long-term partnerships, and low turnover.  That’s why I judge the effectiveness of organizations by the amount of turnover, among other things.  Rookies who have smarts and learn fast will be stars.  This is going to be one intense season—especially the early games.

The only game cancelled is the Hall of Fame game on Sunday, August 7.  Glad they will still have the Hall of Fame induction on Saturday.  This is how women, innocent of the football addiction, can start to love football.  More on that next week.  No time for a long blog this week—working with a fascinating client company. . .I’m just SO HAPPY we are going to have the NFL in full gear—literally.
