MimiSpeaks! Watch the NBA Playoffs!
Wanna get inspired and motivated, even though we have no football workouts to watch? We don’t even have “football players doing inspiring things” to watch, given that Chad Ochocinco didn’t stay on that bull long enough to even SEE. . .
So you know, I’m into the playoffs of every sport, since that’s when you’re likely to see the most blood, sweat and tears—100% effort, team excellence, commitment, dramatic plays, and everything else I love about competitive sports. But, last night’s Heat/Bulls game was EPIC!!
They were tied at the half, which made the second half all the more jaw-dropping. The Bulls came out on fire, and I finally GOT the phrase, “Defense Wins Championships.” It never made as much sense to me as it did last night. I am always preaching “time of possession”—you don’t make points—in life, sports, relationships—unless you are accountable, responsible, carrying the ball.
So last night, Noah is DIVING for the ball—getting floor burns sliding across the basketball arena floor, flipping the ball up to a teammate (who is on his feet) ready to score!! Breathtaking!! Sometimes, 5 guys touched the ball before they ALL scored the points. “Offensive rebounds” it’s called, which means they get the ball again for another 24 seconds or whatever the exact number is. See, ladies? You do NOT need to know the details of the game to LOVE the effort!! So the Defense wins it, because they get the ball BACK to score. . .enlightenment. . .and exciting.
I admit I liked the short shorts of the players in the ‘70s and ‘80s better, BUT I could become Bawdy Basketball Broad as well as being Funny Football Female. . .hmmmm. . .worth a thought. What do you think? Should I be a 2-sport fan? Are you? Some of you love EVERY sport with a passion. I can see it, I really can.
